About the Role:

The Calibration Technician will perform calibration, testing, and verification of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) within our Manufacturing Operations facility. This entry-level role is essential to ensuring equipment accuracy and compliance with quality standards, supporting the production of highly precise measurement systems used worldwide.

Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do:




  • Perform calibration, verification, and adjustment of CMMs using precision instruments and established procedures in accordance to ISO 10360



  • Document calibration results and maintain accurate calibration records in accordance with ISO 9001 and industry standards



  • Support the maintenance of calibration equipment, ensuring readiness and accuracy



  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues related to calibration performance



  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing teams to support production needs



  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment



  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for calibration processes



  • Support occasional audits of calibration systems and practices



Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Metrology, or related field preferred



  • Basic understanding of metrology concepts and precision measurement



  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity



  • Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures



  • Competent in reading technical drawings and schematics



  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; calibration software a plus)



  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities



  • Ability to lift equipment or parts up to 30 pounds occasionally



  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role



Work Environment


  • Primarily an on-site role within a manufacturing/production facility



  • Exposure to factory floor environments (moderate noise, occasional vibration)



  • Standing and walking for extended periods; occasional bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds



  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as required
