The Programmer Analyst will be an integral part the Customer Digital Technology team focused on integrating software systems affecting the company website, mobile app and automated notifications. What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with the product team and other IT groups in an agile framework to analyze requirements, determine scope, estimate tasks, document, develop, test, deploy and maintain solutions.
  • Build a thorough end-to-end understanding of API call chain for company websites and the mobile app.
  • Design algorithms, workflows and data models for backend systems to create new software features.
  • Deploy, configure and maintain programs and applications from Middleware APIs to Back-End systems.
  • Partner with IT Operations/ Infrastructure to architect solutions that are secure, robust and scalable.
  • Produce efficient, sustainable and elegant code based on requirements and specifications.
  • Perform tests to improve quality of software promoted up through different stages of development and avoid performance issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis across system call chains for issues reported.

  • Perform root cause analysis across system call chains for issues reported.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and in technical meetings like Code Reviews.
  • Research and follow latest security requirements, software trends and perform best-practice research to support team goals.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Mathematics, Engineering and Business Management fields or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Strong experience in programming concepts and SQL programming (like SQL Server, DB2)
  • Strong critical thinking skills with in-depth experience in: PHP including frameworks like Zend, Laravel, Symfony and developing web service APIs
  • Foundations of web including HTML, CSS
  • Experience with Javascript including frameworks like Vue.js is a plus
  • Effectively communicate (written/verbal) complex concepts with team and vendors
  • Rapidly absorb complex technical and/or conceptual information
  • Anticipate issues and provide solutions for complex problems
  • Balance a self-motivated, independent work ethic with intense cross-functional collaboration needed to drive project success
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience while under pressure
  • Experience working on a CMS like Drupal is strongly preferred
  • Regular office environment with remote work option
