City/State Suffolk, VA Work Shift Rotating Overview: Sentara Obici in Suffolk, VA is hiring an Traveler RN to full fill a Temporary position on their Family Maternity Center Team related to Nursery/Postpartum! Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital LDRP experience related to Mother/Baby. Must have valid RN License. Required BLS and NRP certifications. Rotating Shift $70 per hour Sentara Obici Hospital is a 175-bed community hospital. Founded in 1951 in the heart of Suffolk, Virginia. We relocated to a new state of the art facility in 2010. ABOUT THE FAMILY MATERNITY CENTER The Family Maternity Center is located away from the everyday flow to provide a peaceful, comforting environment for our moms and babies. We have 24-hour coverage by board-certified pediatricians and anesthesiologists. Lactation Specialists are available six days a week. Infant security system to ensure safety for all of our newborns. Ample space for dad, family member, or support person to spend the night. Special affiliation with Children's Hospital for the King's Daughter (CHKD) if specialized care is required. Partnership with several community outreach programs that include postpartum support groups and breastfeeding support groups. Our unit is recognized as one of the top performing units for patient satisfaction. U.S. News nationally recognized our Maternity Center in 2023 as a high performing hospital for maternity services. We utilize evidence-based practice to promote up to date care for mom and baby such as Golden Hour and Skin-to-Skin.
