We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our radiology clinic. This role is essential to maintaining accurate and accessible patient records, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in medical records administration and a proactive approach to managing daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Follow a daily checklist to complete assigned administrative tasks * Manage a queue of requests, including pulling prior imaging (e.g., X-rays) ahead of scheduled MRIs * Facilitate radiology conferences by preparing and distributing necessary files and images * Provide requested files and images to radiologists and technicians * Process medical records requests in accordance with HIPAA guidelines * Perform data entry, file documentation, and audit patient records for accuracy * Support general back-office administrative functions *Work Environment:* * Small, collaborative team of three in the back office * Requires attentiveness and responsiveness to radiologists' requests for specific files *Shift Details:* * Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (some flexibility available) * This is a contract position with the potential for permanent hire, though conversion is not guaranteed *Required Qualifications:* * Minimum of 2 years of experience in Release of Information (ROI) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) administration * Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems * Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards * Excellent organizational and data entry skills *Preferred Qualifications:* * Experience in a radiology setting or familiarity with radiology workflows #westpriority25 *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.76 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
