PRIMARY FUNCTION:Sell generator maintenance contracts and service work wherever possible, pursue opportunities in the stand-by & prime power market, and organize operations in the used sales program. This position will work especially close with the territory Branch Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Research, identify, and pursue new service opportunities in the stand-by and prime power generation market.
  • Take lead role in promoting and selling generator maintenance and service work.
  • Maintain Service schedule needed for current and potential new customers
  • Quote generator service contracts and generator service work
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with generator service department
  • Increase generator service department customer base
  • Meet with existing customers as well as cold call on potential customers
  • Work with sales team to coordinate start-up on new equipment and offer new service contracts



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum Education

  1. A high school degree is required and some college or technical school is a plus.
  2. Solid understanding of basic generator and electrical distribution principles
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Ability to initiate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks independently
  5. Work well with others that come from an eclectic background
  6. Experience and have strong proficiencies with Microsoft Office and Adobe
  7. Self-Motivated with a willingness and flexibility to operate outside of normal business hours, including travel if necessary.



Minimum Work Experience




  1. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of power generators, compressors, and load banks.



Minimum Prerequisites

  1. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel inside and outside of town. Sometimes staying overnight.
