ABOUT THE JOB

The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing and guiding the day-to-day aerial administrative business for Diversified Applications Inc. (DAI) and its subsidiaries.

This position is with Diversified Applications, Inc. (DAI). DAI is our aerial application business and operates under several different names throughout the U.S. as we continue to acquire small companies to actively expand this segment of our business. The goal of DAI is to become the leader of the agricultural aviation industry by continuously growing our fleet of fixed wing aircrafts and helicopters.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE




  • Manages all aspects of acquisitions including analysis and communications with seller to the due diligence process, closing, pay structure and acclimating the new location to our new systems and processes.
  • Serves as the Agent of Service with the FAA for DAI subsidiaries' operating certificates.
  • Ensures that all necessary information is communicated to the proper FSDO and all required documentation is maintained.
  • Manages and monitors the ADP payroll system and recruitment for all DAI employees that may report directly or indirectly to this position.
  • Assists the Payroll team and ensures pay is processed correctly.
  • Manages accounts payable.
  • Manages all aspects of the pilot pay program.
  • Oversees financial balances and transactions for all DAI entities.
  • Develops and manages the insurance program with Helena's risk management team.
  • Develops and manages new processes and procedures to ensure DAI and subsidiaries are in compliance with all state and federal requirements as well as Helena company policy.
  • Oversees the preparation of the annual operating budget, manages all capital projects and ensures that all legal and environmental work is completed for all new projects or leases.
  • Supervises the work of employees and provides feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle.
  • Manages other team members.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by your leader.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance, business management or related field is required.
  • Five years of related work experience is required.



SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS




  • Working knowledge of Windows, QuickBooks and Flight Plan Online is preferred.
  • Ability to travel by various means up to 20% is required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
  • Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is required to drive a company vehicle.
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.



Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required for all positions at Helena.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB

The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 10 pounds.
