In this crucial position, you will be responsible for actively engaging in the day-to-day operations of our security infrastructure, from configuring firewalls and intrusion detection systems to conducting penetration tests and responding to security incidents. Accountabilities:
- Independently architect and implement comprehensive endpoint security solutions for specialized Seeds R&D hardware
- Design and ensure secure connectivity between distributed research facilities and central systems
- Provide authoritative security architecture guidance for new Seeds R&D technology implementations
- Conduct and oversee regular security assessments and compliance audits across Seeds R&D platforms
- Lead security incident response and mitigation for research assets
- Establish and maintain security controls documentation and procedures
- Drive security initiatives with cross-functional teams

Qualifications
PLEASE NOTE -- Candidates must be already located in the United States and not require visa sponsorship
- Industry-recognized security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+)
- Deep knowledge of industrial control systems, IoT, and edge computing security
- Expertise in cybersecurity principles, tools, and methodologies, with a focus on Ag Science applications
- Strong understanding of Seeds R&D operations and associated security requirements
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for specialized hardware and edge devices
- Advanced knowledge of network architecture and secure system integration
- Proficiency in threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation
- Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration capabilities
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills for complex security challenges
- Ability to balance security requirements with operational efficiency in an Ag Science environment
- Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks relevant to agricultural research
- Capacity to influence and drive security initiatives across diverse technical teams
