Overview

*This position is NOT remote, it includes various locations with HIGH travel and is temporary (60 days) and part-time.*

As a Secure Asset Technician 1, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of sensitive test equipment. This position involves close coordination with test engineers, government personnel and facility operators. This is a temporary/on-call position directly supporting the Center for Countermeasures at various locations throughout the US. Travel is expected to occur for all support activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Control access to secured areas and equipment, ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
  • Greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and maintain detailed visitor logs.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and incident reports.
  • Assist with technician level duties as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule travel in support of test activities.
  • Complete travel and detailed expense reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years working in or around controlled or restricted facilities.
  • Experience in security, law enforcement, or military security programs is a plus.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Must live near a major airport and have reliable transportation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience working in a professional manufacturing or test environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and adjust to situations commonly found in test environments.
  • Proficiency with logistics and travel, experience in a DoD setting preferred.
  • Skilled in maintaining detailed logs and reports.
  • Strong situational awareness and incident response capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills-verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to follow procedures while working independently.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
  • Must possess good vision and hearing capabilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work performed in outdoor airfield and/or test range settings.
  • May experience exposure to varying noise and weather conditions.
  • Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
