Sigma Defense is seeking a Technical Training Specialist with experience establishing training needs, developing goals and objectives, developing training programs, and applying the instructional system development (ISD) process to join our team in Fayetteville, NC.

This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements
  • 3 - 10 years of experience in the C5ISR systems.
  • Experience establishing training needs, developing goals and objectives, developing training programs, and applying the instructional system development (ISD) process.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, English, Psychology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field of study.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Essential Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)

  • Develop and train employees or customers of industrial or commercial establishment in installation, programming, safety, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment, such as robots, programmable controllers, and robot controllers, following manuals, specifications, blueprints, and schematics, and using hand tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
  • Confer with management and staff or technical training coordinator to determine training objectives.
  • Write training program, including outline, text, handouts, tests, and designs laboratory exercises, applying knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programming, and following machine, equipment, and tooling manuals.
  • This is a professional level non-supervisory position.
  • Provide a method of certifying technicians and trainers with standards to be approved by the government.
  • Develop training and simulation material using standardized programming models to provide ease of course maintenance with special emphasis on providing for frequent changes and modifications to reference publications and course content.
  • Training curriculum shall include lecture-type training with classroom material, followed by a practical laboratory that reinforces the lecture material and provides students with a hands-on training environment.
  • Focus on RF network equipment and various Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) commercial SATCOM systems.
  • Develop a presentation and provide all training course documentation required for each course.
  • Conduct new Equipment Training (NET) and follow-on Sustainment Training and On-the-Job Training (OJT).
  • Certify all technicians and trainers on all SDN systems to include the maritime systems within ninety (90) days of hire.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $120,000 annually.
