Description
Sigma Defense is seeking a SATCOM/Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 10 - 18 years of hands-on experience with RF communications to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization. Requirements
- 10 - 18 years of hands-on experience with RF communications and/or communications networks, to include 3 of the 4 areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
- Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in C5ISR systems.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Essential Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)
- Provide the knowledge and expertise in Satellite Communications and Network Systems.
- Define procedures or standards, using the knowledge of what the right or best way to execute a task would be, and recommend procedural improvements.
- Develop performance objectives and determines acceptable performance levels.
- Comprehend the language, terms, and jargon in area of expertise and understands required knowledge needed to determine effective decision-making, describe where inconsistencies, irregularities, or flaws may occur.
- Technical experience in support of RF communications and/or communications networks.
- Use network analysis tools to optimize RF networks.
- Perform RF path loss calculations, system predictions, and modeling.
- Support Joint Warfighter C5ISR systems to include Equipment Support, System Support,
- Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, Training, and Programmatic Support.
- Recognized expert with demonstrated industry and public service leadership in C5ISR systems.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000 annually.
