Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payments Compliance Oversight Manager to join our growing team. This associate will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the implementation of changes stemming from evolving financial services and healthcare regulatory requirements and act as a central point of contact for product and process change initiatives, ensuring that all aspects of our business remain compliant, mitigate risk, and support our strategic objectives. This role also involves providing crucial support for external and internal inquiries, often by gathering and synthesizing necessary information. This role reports into the Payments Compliance Oversight Director.

What You'll Do

  • Actively monitor, analyze, and interpret new and evolving regulatory requirements, industry guidance, and enforcement actions relevant to our business operations, products, and services.

  • Collaborate closely with product development, business lines, and operations teams on the launch of new products and services or significant modifications to existing ones.

  • Assess the impact of regulatory or business changes on existing policies, procedures, systems, and business processes and potential compliance risks associated with the changes.

  • Develop and manage action plans in coordination with relevant stakeholders across the business; lead or support cross-functional projects related to compliance change initiatives, utilizing project management methodologies.

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, track progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful and timely implementation of changes.

  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to compliance documentation, policies, and training materials reflecting business or regulatory changes; assist in developing and delivering targeted training sessions to educate employees on the impact of changes.

  • Develop and implement internal communication plans for change initiatives, ensuring all affected parties are informed.

  • Collaborate with the Monitoring and Testing team to ensure compliance reviews of changes are completed.

  • Support internal advisory requests by collecting relevant documentation to help inform compliance-driven decisions.

  • Limited travel.

What You'll Bring to Zelis

  • 7+ years of compliance or risk experience in banking or payments industry.

  • Managerial experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry practices impacting financial services (e.g., financial crimes, NACHA, consumer compliance, etc.).

  • Experience in laws, regulations and industry practices impacting the healthcare industry is a plus.

  • Experience designing, implementing, or managing aspects of a compliance programs using established regulatory standards (e.g., Federal Reserve Supervisory Letter 08-8, COSO internal control framework, bank partnership compliance expectations, etc.).

  • Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree is a plus. Relevant compliance or risk certifications (e.g., CRCM, CERP, CIA, etc.) are preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience administering change management projects.

  • Experience working with regulatory compliance matters including, but not limited to, financial crimes, money movement, product obligations, consumer compliance, etc.

  • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to business operations and create actionable solutions supporting business initiatives.

  • Ability to work collaboratively, maintain effective business relationships, and articulate complex compliance concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

  • Respect for laws, rules, and regulations with a desire to pursue innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Proven track record of owning and delivering on projects, initiatives, and/or programs.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills; ability work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects toward completion without compromising quality.

  • Self-starter with a willingness to explore areas outside of your comfort zone.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and have good verbal and written communication skills.
