Position Type: Community Education/Referee Date Posted: 6/30/2025 Location: Minnetonka Community Education Center (MCEC) Date Available: 11/16/2025 Closing Date: Open until filled Primary Objective of Position: To assist in officiating MCE youth basketball games for grades 3-5 Assignment: 2-6 games per week on Saturdays starting December 6, 2025 through March 7, 2026 Expected to attend referee training on November 16, 2025 from 6-8pm Wages: Starting at $15.45 per game. Additional $100 stipend for referees that work 25 games Additional $100 stipend for referees that work 50 games Click here to view starting pay rates for Minnetonka Community Education. Starting pay rates for this position can be found in Appendix C. Not benefit eligible Job Responsibilities: To referee youth basketball games in a safe and respectful manner. To ensure the proper use and care of the facilities and equipment used. To enforce safety rules and take disciplinary action when necessary. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of the sport of basketball Ability to work with groups of students and adults. Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
