Our growing company is in need of a VP, Aerospace & Defense Segment at our Corporate Office in Fort Worth, Texas. The VP of TTI's Aerospace & Defense Segment is responsible for developing, implementing and measuring annual and long-term sales objectives for selected, market segment focused customers and for implementing related sales programs that result in the satisfactory achievement of targeted corporate pre-tax profit, gross profit, revenue generation, on-time delivery performance and quality performance results.

The VP, Aerospace & Defense Segment:



  • Establishes and manages productive, professional relationships with and between key personnel of TTI and strategically important Aerospace and Defense accounts.
  • Develops and directs a team of Aerospace and Defense Account Managers that are exceptional at optimizing both account and supplier relationships by hiring qualified people, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management resulting in higher levels of performance and by providing effective training, development, and succession planning.
  • Working with Aerospace and Defense Account Managers proactively leading a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period. Meet all assigned targets and objectives.
  • Working with the Corporate Product group on Aerospace and Defense Segment and Aerospace and Defense customer specific marketing & inventory programs.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address account needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Working with Regional President and Vice President/Sales to identify existing and/or new accounts for inclusion into the company's Aerospace and Defense Account Program.
  • Serves as a corporate resource to coordinate the involvement of regional and branch company personnel, including support, service, and management resources in order to meet account performance objectives and account expectations.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Product Management to coordinate the quotation process for strategic accounts.
  • Develops and maintains a strong supplier relations program in order to ensure that TTI has sufficient quality and quantity of electronic component parts to meet its ongoing business needs and to build its image as a specialty distributor and industry leader for this market segment focus customer base.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings the meet company standards.
  • Travel to customers throughout North America.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field and 15 years of related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience in electronic component (or related industry) sales and extensive sales management experience.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense segment of the industry is also preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
