Description

    Performing HR/Benefits transactional processing in HRIS, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, benefits enrollments, leaves of absence, and qualified life events
  • Completing I-9 verification and obtaining supporting documents, completing e-Verify for work eligibility, and submitting regulatory paperwork for all new hires
  • Reporting new hires to appropriate agencies monthly
  • Responding to routine inquiries from employees regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Preparing and maintaining employee files in order to ensure accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
  • Coordinating employee recognition programs, including service awards and quarterly birthdays
  • Providing wage and employment verifications to employers, financial institutions, and government agencies when presented with written authorization confirming identity
  • Processing tuition reimbursement requests
  • Performing annual OSHA reporting
  • Reconciling and processing monthly vendor invoices
  • Creating and distributing HR/Benefits related reporting and adhoc reports as needed
  • Providing administrative support to the Benefits Manager and the Human Resources department as needed
  • Assisting with the coordination of company-wide annual flu shot program
  • Organizing and coordinating special projects and employee events as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in human resources or insurance
  • Application of vocational or administrative skills and methods taught in specialized training and/or learned through formal apprenticeships
  • Requires a basic level of proficiency to work on assignments of intermediate difficulty and a thorough knowledge of superior's area of responsibility as well as a general knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and multi-task
  • Knowledge of company policies/procedures and benefits packages or the ability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
