Overview

Turner Asphalt is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Responsible for skilled work related to the general and major repair of trucks and other heavy equipment.



Responsibilities

Perform skilled mechanical work, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety inspections on all Company trucks and heavy equipment.

* Perform work on all diesel engines.

* Provide field service and answers service calls on heavy equipment.

* Repair parts on heavy equipment.

* Diagnose and repair computer, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic failures.

* Repair chassis, air conditioning, cooling, brakes, and exhaust systems on vehicles.

* Document work completed and prepares reports.

* Perform other job duties as assigned.

Certfied Mechanic

Construction, assembly, adjustment, and maintenance of a wide variety of trucks and heavy equipment.

* Various types of automotive shop tools.

* Safe working practices and occupational hazards.

* Company functions, policies, and procedures. Methods and techniques of automotive or diesel repairs.

* Written and oral communications skills.

* Follow and relay oral and written instructions, policies and procedures.

* Follow directions and have a mechanical aptitude.

* Repair gas and diesel motors and pumps.

* Diagnose the defects of worn or broken parts on engines.

* Work in extreme weather conditions with exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, slippery surfaces, grease, oils, electrical components, and noises.

Must have vaild drivers license
