Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented high school student to join our IT department as a summer intern. This role offers hands-on experience in computer provisioning, decommissioning, license assignment, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in technology and a willingness to learn and contribute to our team.

Under the direct supervision of the assigned manager, the High School Intern is responsible for basic tasks to support a designated department. This is a temporary, non-benefitted role.



Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist in the provisioning of new computers, including setup, configuration, and installation of necessary software.
  • Support the decommissioning process for outdated or non-functional computers, ensuring proper data backup and disposal.
  • Help manage software licenses, including installation, renewal, and tracking.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for IT processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Provide general support to the IT department as needed, under the supervision of IT staff.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in high school.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and able to set consistent work hours

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS).
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
