Senior Configuration Management Specialist

Job Title: Senior Configuration Management Specialist - Navy Shipbuilding

Location: Washington, DC Clearance Required: Secret

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to support configuration and change management activities for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems. This role is responsible for maintaining and controlling hardware inventory, product documentation, software baselines, and supporting the Configuration Control Board (CCB) across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee configuration management (CM) processes for Navy shipbuilding programs and defense systems.
• Maintain control of all hardware, software, and documentation inventories.
• Coordinate with the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to ensure proper review and implementation of configuration changes.
• Develop, document, and enforce procedures for product release and configuration tracking throughout the system lifecycle.
• Provide expert guidance on change management and configuration management best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Navy standards and support audits and reviews related to CM activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 15+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.
• Demonstrated experience in the Navy's shipbuilding configuration management processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 20+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.
