The Role: We are looking for our next Category Specialist Chemicals within our Direct Materials Procurement Team. The Category Manager Chemicals will be responsible for developing, communicating and executing procurement strategies that support the business goals in growth, cost savings, risk mitigation, working capital improvement, development of new products and achievement plant operating efficiencies. The portfolio includes petrochemicals, commodity chemicals including chlor-alkali derivatives and tail spend raw materials. This role will interact with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, R&D and Manufacturing Technology to address supply concerns while leading the development and implementation of the procurement strategy. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the management of supplier performance for related raw materials used by our plants in North America. The performance management and strategy development will be coordinated with colleagues in other regions to ensure optimal results and efficient implementation. The Category Manager Chemicals is accountable for the management and performance of the full portfolio including the creation of procurement strategies, setting strategic objectives, and optimization of suppliers' portfolios. He/she will manage relationships with key suppliers, ensure accountability and alignment with Roquette objectives across global, regional, and local business needs This position is located Wilmington, Delaware Compensation: The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $120,000- $165,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location. What You'll Do:
