CLEARANCE: Active Public Trust preferred; Current or prior Secret or Top-Secret clearance is highly desirable; DOJ public trust clearance must be adjudicated prior to candidate starting

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of Justice Antitrust Division (ATR) in Washington, DC. This is a short-term 3-4 month contract with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure monitoring, endpoint and patch management, and hands-on experience across both Windows and Linux environments, including cloud operations in Azure.

You will play a key role in maintaining the health, security, and performance of the division's IT infrastructure while providing technical support to ongoing network and cloud operations.

Monitor the health and performance of IT infrastructure systems and proactively address issues.
• Support day-to-day infrastructure operations, including network, servers, endpoints, and storage systems.
• Manage and deploy patches and updates across Windows and Linux endpoints to ensure compliance and security.
• Maintain and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure services, assisting with provisioning, optimization, and security.
• Perform administrative tasks in Windows Server and Linux environments (user management, system logs, troubleshooting, etc.).
• Collaborate with internal DOJ IT teams and stakeholders to ensure operational continuity and rapid incident resolution.
• Support documentation of standard operating procedures and change management processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or system administration roles.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools and proactive system maintenance practices.
• Experience with endpoint and patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, WSUS, or similar).
• Proficiency in Windows Server administration and basic Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud operations including monitoring, provisioning, and basic configuration.
• Knowledge of network operations, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and supporting user access.
• Must be self-directed, organized, and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC (4 days onsite / 1 day remote).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOJ Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Public Trust clearance, or a current/prior Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Azure Administrator, MCSA, RHCSA).

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
