POSITION SUMMARY
The Internal Communications Specialist works closely with the Human Resources and Marketing Teams to support various employee-centered initiatives. They are responsible for creating visual content for internal publications. This role also involves planning and executing Company events, as well as engaging with both internal and external customers to enhance brand engagement. Additionally, the Specialist will collaborate with all departments to strengthen the employer brand. This position reports directly to Human Resources.
JOB FUNCTIONS

- Collaborate with the Human Resources and Marketing teams, and the company President to develop and execute creative ideas professionally.
- Develop impactful content for internal communication campaigns, including announcements, newsletters, leadership updates, and employee stories that align with organizational goals and values.
- Manage digital communications platforms, including intranets, emails, and collaboration tools, ensuring functionality, usability, and responsiveness.
- Foster connections among employees by creating campaigns and initiatives that promote collaboration, celebrate achievements, and supports a strong sense of community.
- Act as a trusted partner to leadership and departmental teams, providing guidance on internal messaging and ensuring consistency with the company's voice and brand values.
- Analyze and measure the effectiveness of communication efforts through data and employee feedback, using insights to adjust strategies and improve outcomes.
- Stay ahead of communication trends, tools, and best practices, bringing forward-thinking ideas to enhance employee engagement strategies.
- Support crisis communications and sensitive messaging with clarity and professionalism, reinforcing trust within the employee community.
- Execute Bauer's employer brand with design support for internal communications, job fairs, job postings, style guides, etc.
- Inform and execute internal communication strategy and overall plan. (e.g. engagement huddles)
- Plan and execute Company events in coordination with others in the Human Resources department, including holiday and work anniversary celebrations, by working with vendors, event planners, and venues. Gather attendee feedback for future event planning.
- Partner with Marketing to coordinate photography and videography for corporate events, social media, newsletters, etc., as needed.
- Utilize the latest computer technology and other mediums to produce creative and innovative graphic design/artwork for the company.
- Archive, organize, and maintain electronic files of artwork and literature for up to five years.
- Keep stakeholders updated on project statuses during weekly meetings or as requested.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and excel in an environment of ever-changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or other related field of study.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to comprehend and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
- Highly creative with a positive attitude.
- Ability to articulate value and incite emotional response pertaining to products including industrial products.
- Must be able to effectively create original designs and bring well thought out ideas / concepts to the table.
- Proficiency in MAC OS X AND PC along with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign is required.
- Strong organizational skills and highly self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task several projects at once and meet quick deadlines.
