Personal Trainer, Temporary - Campus Recreation

Requirements

The Personal Trainer designs and leads clients through safe and effective individual workouts. Supporting Georgetown University's value of cura personalis, they work one-on-one with students and members to help them reach their personal fitness goals and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Reaching out to potential clients to schedule sessions.
  • Assisting clients with purchasing training packages.
  • Creating personalized plans with clients to help them reach their fitness goals.
  • Tracking client sessions in the Campus Rec database.


Work Interactions

The Personal Trainer reports to the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness. The Personal Trainer may interact with other staff members including Fitness Attendants and Group Fitness Instructors to support the overall mission of Campus Recreation to promote active, healthy lifestyles and foster a sense of community through fitness programs and services.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current national certification from a reputable certifying organization (for example; ACE, ACSM, NASM, or CSCS)
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, workout structure, and exercise technique/form
  • Engaging and professional attitude
  • Self-motivation
  • Passion for helping others

Pay Range

The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $36.00 - $40.00. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
