Description and Requirements

The Director, Enterprise Knowledge Management is responsible for building and leading a centralized team that defines, promotes and manages our enterprise Knowledge Management Systems across Lenovo. This role ensures that knowledge transformation is defined and supports the delivery of digital, AI transformation, and business initiatives effectively, consistently and securely, ultimately improving the development of an Agentic AI network globally.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and refine the enterprise-wide knowledge management (KM) strategy.
  • Align KM initiatives with corporate goals and digital transformation efforts.

Implementation & Execution:

  • Lead the rollout of KM strategies across Business Groups and Geographies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure successful project execution.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Establish KM performance evaluation systems.
  • Monitor system effectiveness, analyze data, and propose improvements.

Technology Integration:

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-driven KM platforms.
  • Enhance knowledge capture, storage, analysis, and sharing capabilities.

Collaboration & Training:

  • Work closely with departments to foster KM awareness.
  • Provide training and guidance to improve KM competencies across teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in KMS Delivery including leadership roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building or leading delivery of enterprise Knowledge Management Systems, including Confluence and SharePoint.
  • 5+ years of Experience working with global teams to define and standardize Knowledge Generation, Storage, Transformation and Consumption processes.
  • Experience in large-scale transformation programs (digital, cultural, M&A).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing RFP processes, contract management, and vendor selection.
  • Familiar with Digital and AI technology trends.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to influence and lead through ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, Kotter) a plus.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $165k - 185k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This is a hybrid position 3 days per week at our Morrisville or Chicago location. Relocation support can be provided.
