The Production control member is an important function of the manufacturing team. Production control will conduct cycle counts, maintain a working knowledge of manufacturing orders and work with supervisor to monitor all orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Analyze demand forecasts
  • Create and print work orders
  • Ensure inventory levels and locations are accurate through regularly scheduled cycle counts
  • Maintain work order retention process
  • Provide material and production planning and order fulfillment
  • Inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain files for standard unit cost for inventory items.
  • Reports to plant leadership the adherence to supplier schedules.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers to ensure highest quality, lowest cost, competitive lead time, and minimal inventory investment.
  • Reviews/corrects invoices with accounts payable as needed.
  • Participates in programs to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinates with sales and production leadership to resolve material quality issues.
  • Maintain on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Establish and execute Plans.
  • Other assigned duties, including providing support for:

    • Cost of material, labor, & overhead standards
    • Ad hoc financial analysis
    • Analyze profitability of existing & new products
    • Review capital expenditure proposals and help prepare analysis and payback justification.





QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/Skills/Education)

  • Purchasing and Production - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other attributes for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods and services.
