Job Description

Position Description:

This position assists with the accurate and timely preparation of the organization's payroll as well as supports the routine administration of payroll policies and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and ensure the accuracy of the payroll function.

Position Location:

This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.

What you do:



  • Coordinate and execute payroll processing tasks in accordance with established schedules and procedures. Prepare, batch and key pay data for the payroll system data entry.
  • Perform daily payroll data entry and transaction support, including direct deposit entries.
  • Analyze, audit, and balance Payroll data and reports before, during and after payroll processing.
  • Process off-cycle payments as applicable.
  • Administer and maintain the Time Labor Management System
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll inquiries and assist with issue resolution.
  • Collaborate on the implementation of tax changes, process improvements, and system updates impacting payroll operations.
  • Prepare, analyze, and audit payments to W2 employees.
  • Prepare, analyze, and audit payments to 1099 retirees.
  • Maintain appropriate records, following internal standard operating procedures and controls for payroll processing as well as audit check points.
  • Analyze and audit employee level fields to ensure appropriate setups.
  • Assist in processing corrections to recipient payment records for accurate recipient and company level filings.
  • Maintain schedule to assure accurate and timely Payroll system year-end merge and close.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.
  • Additional duties as required.


What you bring:



  • High school diploma, or GED required. Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years of related payroll experience required.
  • Multi-state payroll experience desired.
  • Basic accounting knowledge or experience is desired.
  • Microsoft Excel experience with V-Lookups and Pivot tables is desired.

About this Position's Pay
The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package (see above for details). This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
