Sr Engineer

Your main responsibilities

  • Facilitate timely resolution of problems and issues that arise during the manufacturing process including non-conforming material analysis, incomplete manufacturing information, equipment problems, process change and/or recommendations.
  • Analyze and critique current operations to improve productivity and lower product cost. Will utilize time studies or standard data, workstation and plant layouts, tooling, fixtures, equipment, labor, and materials to support management objectives.
  • Performs corporate design agreement changes for product. Will analyze and define changes required, make changes to the bill of materials, processes, manpower, tools, supplies, components, and drawings. Will schedule introduction with other design agreements, material change coordination, and schedule implementation. Must submit all supportive documentation.
  • May interface with suppliers to resolve problems supplier side industrialization issues.
  • Independently review and/or create industrial documentation such as: standard operating procedures, process/material flow diagrams, process failure mode analysis (PFMEA), and process failure mode control plans.
  • Must serve as a resource for others, providing technical support to manufacturing associates, other engineers, and management. Must have a full understanding of main process tools & equipment and process steps. Must have in-depth, expert knowledge of practices and theoretical concepts and applied knowledge. Must be able to work successfully on complex problems without a lot of direction or guidance.

What you bring

Education
Bachelor's degree in either mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.

Work Experience
5-7 years industry experience. Must have manufacturing experience.
Must have some CNC based equipment training.
Must have experience with MRP system requirements (master data, bills-of-material, labor routings, production lot sizes)
Specific Technical Knowledge may be required in areas of Fabrication, Mechanical Assembly, and Welding.

Computer Skills: Must have general computer knowledge. AutoCAD, SAP, MS Office

Problem Solving: May require interpretation in performing varied duties. May be intangibles or missing information. Will require general production equipment & process knowledge to support decision making. Serious consequences or loss result from error.

Additional skills: Must have goal setting, problem solving, time management, analytical skills, project management, leadership and organizational skills.
