Starkey is hiring a Standard Production Fulfillment and Configure Team Lead at it's distribution center in Plainfield, IL. This position will be responsible for leading department operators to ensure all work instructions and other processes are followed. This position is responsible for inventory control/accuracy, fulfillment, configuration & lasering, and distribution of materials within company standards for the Global Distribution Center. This role also serves as a backup to the Fulfillment Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for leading department operators to ensure all work instructions and other processes are followed. This position is responsible for inventory control/accuracy, fulfillment, configuration & lasering, and distribution of materials within company standards for the Global Distribution Center. This role also serves as a backup to the Fulfillment Supervisor.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS



  • Provide direction for department employees

    • Coordinate the work and activity of operator-level employees
    • Organize, plan, and prioritize customer orders and workflow daily
    • Communicate with manager, supervisors, peers, and subordinates
    • Inform all necessary individuals of schedule changes
    • Provide employee feedback on quality, efficiency, and overall performance
    • Investigate and follow up on internal issues


  • Generate daily departmental metrics dashboard to track department performance
  • Laser engrave hearing aids (using Green Laser), following special print notes and request.
  • Prioritize orders requiring device configuration and special print requests.
  • Wirelessly brand hearing aids using Manufacturing Suite software.
  • Perform configuration inspection process to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly PM on laser engravers.
  • Ensure orders are properly picked and prepared.
  • Scan and sort orders in the High Velocity Area.
  • Communicate when inventory is low to replenish product.
  • Pick and process orders using First In, First Out (FIFIO) methodology (use automated machine, if applicable).
  • Sort paperwork in Perfect Pick area (use automated machine, if applicable).
  • Assist in writing work instructions.
  • Lead daily team meetings.
  • Train Level I, Level II, and Sr positions.
  • Serve as a backup for the Fulfillment Supervisor.
  • Take part in daily 5S cleaning.
  • Initiate and implement safety procedures and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent desired.



  • 1-2 years in a fullfillment/distribution role desired.
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Previous leadership experience desired.
  • Minimum of 1 year in Level II or Sr position desired (or equivalent experience).



Knowledge / Technical Requirements



  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) desired.
  • Basic math knowledge required.
  • Basic Microsoft office knowledge required.
  • Customer and personal service.

  • Good organizational skills required.

  • Analysis skills required.

  • Ability to operate machinery, as needed.

WORK CONTEXT

Working Conditions



  • Standard office and warehouse conditions
  • Regular attendance and responsiveness to reasonable job-related directives as given by the supervisor.
  • Noise and heat from machines and tape guns in work area.
  • Stand and move around throughout the day.


Equipment Operation



  • Normal office and warehouse equipment; scan and copier machine, mobile carts, tape guns, cutters, step ladder, pallet jack, label printers, scanners, scales, and Perfect Pick Machine.



Salary and Other Compensation:

The target rate for this position is between $21.47/hr to $26.25/hr. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
