Overview

Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, operate and to tend computerized woodworking machine (CNC router).
• Start router machine, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly.
• Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints and work orders.
• Feed doors into CNC machine to produce desired routing.
• Adjust CNC machine tables or cutting devices and set controls to produce specified cuts or operations.
• Monitor operation of CNC machine and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Inspect and mark completed work pieces and stack them on pallets, so that they can be moved to the next workstation.
• Verifies quality of all completed products and monitors production.
• Masterpack data entry (scrap, reloads, production).
• Material Handler responsibilities: Staging product into CNC loader based on WIP schedule, Wrap, label and stage all completed product, Remove and dispose of all cutout debris from machinery.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Performs a variety of tasks
• High degree of creativity and latitude
• Competent PC skills (Excel, Word, and Masonite systems such as Masterpack and Production Scheduling)
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to document, review, and analyze workflow processes, company policies, and legal requirements to be able to help establish, train, and maintain new improved processes
• Ability to maintain a high level of flexibility in order to be able to react immediately to various inventory and production issues
• Ability to work side by side with production management, procurement and scheduling to rectify issues with lead time and inventory constraints
• Demonstrate an ability to organize activities and work space, as well as the ability to manage large volumes of paper with high level of detail
