Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will: Be at the forefront of new product development for our ancillary product lines, ensuring the creation of profitable and desirable products for our customers. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your assigned product line, from initial design and development to the introduction of new products and support of existing ones. Your focus will be on ensuring products meet performance specifications while actively conducting cost reduction activities and analyzing competitive offerings. Providing technical direction and collaborating across all organizational levels will be key to your success.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex ancillary product engineering projects, overseeing project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative product solutions to optimize functionality, quality, and cost.
- Conduct advanced product and process analysis, utilizing engineering principles and tools to solve complex challenges.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving initiatives, driving continuous improvement efforts within the product development process.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Stay at the forefront of industry advancements, researching and recommending new technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance product design and development.

- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent in relevant field of study
- Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years of additional design experience working with new product introduction OR 4 additional years of design experience working with new product introduction if no post-secondary education
- 5 years of design experience working with a new product introduction process with Bachelor's Degree OR 3 years of design experience working with a new product introduction process with Master's Degree
- Must be able to work onsite daily at our Holland Headquarters.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with or without accomodations.
- Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to creatively design, analyze, and document product designs on multiple projects.
- Design, development, and project management skills.
- Ability for innovative technical accomplishments, as demonstrated through prior design drawings, patent awards, technical publications, and market success.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of CAD (design) systems and analysis procedures.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure products and materials produced meet functional requirements over life of product.
- Knowledgeable of applicable global standards such as American National Standards Institute (ANSI) drafting practices, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) and BIFMA test standards.
- Experience working with Creo parametric modeling with a variety of materials.
- Must be a hands-on contributor with a proactive approach to completing work and projects.
- Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience working in furniture design and manufacturing industries.
