Mission:

As the Technology Service Lead, you will help execute the Service Marketing plan and strategy through your interactions with the Technology & Automation group. This role will focus on daily service operations/coordination of Technology & Automation Specialists while developing technical competency within the group. Additionally, you will have the pivotal role as the senior technology technical advisor to the group, providing additional focus on escalated customer issue resolution throughout region. This role requires a high level of specialized expertise and skill, with an unwavering commitment to maintaining rigorous standards of quality and precision.

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. Noise protection is required in this role. This position is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and the risk of electrical shock and is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:



  • Provide senior technical troubleshooting support for technology, automation, and RCS for Epiroc technicians and Customers, both remotely and on-site. It may require creating customized solutions to address customer-specific issues
  • Responsible for direction and coordination of technology & automation operations and projects for the region. This includes scheduling work, forecasting routine maintenance, and product improvements/updates to best support generating profitable service revenues.
  • Work in partnership with Product Companies for the development of new and existing technology.
  • Participate in technology forums related to Epiroc ADS, URE, and SED machines
  • Communicate service activities and opportunities to the Customer and Service Manager through detailed reports, forms, email, and telephone communication.
  • Always maintain a courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff.



Requirements:



  • Successfully completed required Epiroc trainings, including: Epiroc automation training, Epiroc RCS Basic and Advanced training at time of hire, and TL1, TL2, and Safe Start Modules 1-5 within the first year of employment
  • Minimum of a Certificate of Completion from a Technical or Trade School, five to seven years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, strong mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic.
  • Maintain required US Department of Labor, Mine, Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates, or agree to complete the necessary training program(s) to acquire the Training Certificates by date required by Manager
  • Maintain a valid driver's license; a good driving record is required, and If required to operate a commercial vehicle weighing more than 26,001 pounds, you must be able to pass all requirements necessary to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for Department of Transportation (DOT) purposes and maintain an active license; Employees must be at least 18 years of age to drive commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) within state lines (intrastate) only; Drivers must be at least 21 years old to drive commercial vehicles across state lines (interstate)
  • Extensive travel required, including national and some international travel, to aid in speedy resolution of highly technical issues.
