Overview

The Education and Development Program Manager - Electrical & Electronics leads the overall general development, delivery and operations of the Electrical skilled trades programs offered by Universal Technical Institute. This role manages our educational program's standard operating procedures and processes, technologies, subject matter experts and campus operational teams. This position is the lead for verifying content accuracy for new and existing courseware.

Responsibilities

Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables

    Leads teams in the development of the electrical skilled trades education programs and courses. Assists teams in rolling out programs at existing or new campus locations to create and maximize program completion and preparedness for industry employment demands.
  • Partners with Education & Development and Campus Education teams to provide direction and focus for curriculum changes, updates, and adaptations for Program Advisory Committee feedback (PAC) and requests.
  • Ensures consistency of delivery and program outcomes for all UTI campuses offering Aviation programs.
  • Recommends curriculum improvement, new development, and final content revisions by reviewing feedback provided by the subject matter expert review teams. This includes but not limited to, learning outcomes, lesson plans, assignments, and training equipment.
  • Acts as central point of contact for campus education teams and leads Aviation SMEs for the Skilled Trades Programs.
  • Compiles and analyzes program metrics to ensure optimum performance.
  • Communicates program status with corporate stakeholders.


Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor degree in education, business, or related field preferred. Journeyman/Licensed Technician, NCCER Certified Instructor is a plus.
  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in program technology required.
  • Minimum of Three (3+) years of program management and/or leadership experience.
  • Documented experience managing projects related to educational development (course instruction) preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Project management and decision-making skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage deadlines
  • Self-motivator who maintains confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills (Microsoft Office products)
  • Works well in a team environment
  • General technology as it relates to office administration
  • Will require 25% or more of overnight travel, based on projects
