Job Summary:

As a Sales Representative I - Commercial, you are responsible for prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities while maintaining a book of business. This role focuses on expanding the company's customer base, presenting solutions to potential clients, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory or market.

Essential Functions:



  • Identify, develop, and purse new business opportunities to generate leads, expand the client base, and increase revenue.
  • Maintain and grow assigned customer accounts by ensuring consistent follow-up, responsiveness, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles including proposal development, negotiation of pricing and terms, and successful closure of deals.
  • Serve as a consultant to clients by understanding their challenges and presenting tailored solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, discovery meetings, product demos, and review calls with clients.
  • Generate qualified leads through inbound and outbound efforts, including calls, email campaigns, events, and referrals.
  • Effectively manage assigned geographic territory, ensuring strategic coverage, efficient scheduling, and prioritization of high-potential opportunities.
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activities, and client interactions using the CRM system.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure a coordinated approach to client success.
  • Continuously seek feedback and advocate for enhancements to service delivery and product offerings to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve client issues effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple account management projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and other computer applications.



Minimum Requirements:



  • High School Diploma
  • Five years account management or sales experience in a fast-paced sales environment preferred
  • Print and/or publishing experience preferred


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to functional work or role with up to 5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Able to translate previous work experience into very good problem-solving skills and appropriately apply proven solutions.
  • Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance.
  • Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.
  • Able to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC or other technical tools to complete work assignments.
  • May require knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position such as CRM.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.
  • Valid Driver's License
