General Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and optimizing extrusion processes to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a focus on quality, and the ability to troubleshoot process-related issues.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary objectives are productivity improvement, process efficiency, downtime reduction, and high quality.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of process technicians across multiple extrusion lines.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate process technicians; develop their technical skills and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Assist extruder operators in solving processing issues and recommend parameter changes when extruded profiles are out of specification.
  • Collaborate with production planning, maintenance, and quality control teams to meet output goals and resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Maintains various training manuals, records and performs other duties as required.
  • Ensure all documents are being filled and updated as needed by technicians.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.

Job Specifications

Knowledge

* 3 years of supervisor or lead operator, related work experience and / or proven performance.

* Demonstrate ability in basic mathematical computations and to accurately use a tape measure and calipers.

* Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools and to perform routine maintenance on molders and brush machines.

* Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for up to three hours without a break and twelve hours with breaks, lift weights up to 100 pounds at shoulder level.

* Demonstrate ability to give, comprehend, follow written and oral instructions, and effectively communicate with fellow employees.

* Ability to work shifts and hours mandated by management and to pass a drug test.
