Job Description
Sterile Processing Team Lead - Behind Every Great Surgery is a Great SPD Team

If you're passionate about precision, patient safety, and helping the surgical team stay fully equipped and ready, this role is for you.

As a Sterile Processing Team Lead, you'll bring your deep understanding of SPD functions to the front lines of surgical support. From decontamination and sterilization to instrument processing and case cart assembly, you'll ensure every tool is where it should be - clean, sterile, and ready to go.

You'll also serve as a charge person on alternating weekends, helping lead the workflow and support your team in real time. On-call duties are shared with fellow Team Leaders, so you'll act as a go-to resource when questions or challenges arise.

What You Need:
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Certification as a Central Service Technician OR completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program
    - OR - at least 5 years of instrument tech experience in an OR setting

  • Strong communication skills

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs

  • Proven leadership ability - you're someone others trust to guide the team

  • Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred But Not Required:
  • Experience as a scrub tech or instrument technician (1 year or more)

  • Previous supervisory experience in a clinical or surgical setting
