Job Title: Substitute Teacher Location: Chesterfield VA 23235 Pay Rate: $37.00/Hr. on W2 without benefits Duration: 6+ Months BG Check Required: Yes Job Description: Deliver instruction to students based on the lesson plans provided to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students. Ensure that the curriculum is covered and that students continue to progress in their learning during the teacher's absence. Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs and learning style of each student. Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment in the classroom through managing student behavior and following school safety protocols. Communicate and collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff. Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher about the day's activities, student behavior, and any issues that arose during their absence. Attend staff meetings or professional development sessions as required. Assist as needed to support school activities. Holds a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Have two years of full-time postsecondary education or two years of work experience with children. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must complete 120 hours of Basic Skills Training (3 weeks) which includes physical interventions. Must be able to pass a CPS and background check.
