THEPOSITION: TheDepartmentofObstetrics& Gynecology andWomen'sHealth(OBGYN&WH)is seeking adynamicMaternalFetalMedicineSpecialist with solidclinicalandacademic experiencetojointhefacultyof AlbertEinsteinCollegeofMedicineandtheMedicalStaff of MontefioreMedicalCenter in New York City, New York.They will jointheMaternalFetalMedicineDivision within one of thelargestOBGYN&WHdepartments and residency programsinthecountry.Experienceandexpertiseinfetalmedicine/ultrasoundfrom an AIUM certified facility is preferred along with astrongaptitude for, andcommitmentto,high risk,complexcases

THE DIVISION DESCRIPTION: TheDivisionprovides a wide range of high-riskreproductive careservicesand providesfetalmedicineultrasounddiagnosticservices across three campuses including:

• Early Access Prenatal Center
• Maternal Fetal Medicine Cardiology Joint Program
• HIV in Pregnancy Program
• Fetal Medicine Program
• Reproductive Infectious Diseases
• Fourth Trimester Integrated Clinic
• Reproductive Psychiatry
• Health Equity Task Force Social Determinants of Health Initiative

Reproductive and Perinatal Genetics


The Maternal Fetal Medicinedivisionprovidescaretopatientsthroughout the Bronxandsouthern Westchestercounties. There are currently 9 attendings, 8 Fellows and 1 PA dedicated to inpatient service.In collaboration with the Generalistdivision,the MaternalFetalMedicineSpecialistsco-manage theLabor&Deliveryserviceacross twohospitalswith levels 3and4NICU,averaging 5,100 totaldeliveriesperyear.

THE DEPARTMENT:TheDepartmentiscommittedtoscientificdiscoveryand toeducation,withoneof thelargestresidencyprograms(46trainees)andfellowships ineverydiscipline,fiveof whichareACGMEaccredited (MFM, GYNONC, REI, FPMRS and Complex Family Planning). We have an accredited residency in Reproductive Genetics and offer a MIGS fellowship.


THECANDIDATE:Thesuccessfulcandidatemusthavecompleteda residency in ObstetricsandGynecology and a fellowship inMaternalFetalMedicine.Thecandidatemustbe able to obtain aNewYorkMedicalLicense. Otherqualitiesandcharacteristicssoughtinclude:

  TheselectedMFM physician will be responsible for direct patient care inMaternal FetalMedicine,working closely withhighlytrainedGeneralistOBGYNpartners throughout the prenatal and post-partum periods, and will takeprimaryresponsibility forpatientswithsignificantco-morbidities.They willhaveexperienceandexpertiseinfetalmedicine/ultrasoundpreferably from an AIUM certified facility; and have astrongaptitude for, andcommitmentto,high risk,complexlabor anddeliveryclinical services.

In addition to a competitive salary of $405,000-$425,000, we offer the opportunity to make more income with additional call responsibilities and productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
