City/State: Bronx, New YorkGrant Funded: NoDepartment: Transplant - Immunology LaboratoryWork Shift: EveningWork Days: MON-FRIScheduled Hours: 11 AM-7:30 PMScheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURSPay Range: $104,000.00-$130,000.00 Responsible for overseeing HLA laboratory's quality assurance system that supports the transplant programs; primary responsibility of validation and implementation processes in collaboration with the HLA laboratory director; ensures regulatory compliance; staff training and competency assessment; and research and development activities. Assists with lab coverage in support of deceased donor transplant programs.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree required 3 years of laboratory training or experience in clinical laboratory preferably histocompatibility, immunogenetics and/or transplantation immunology Certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) as a Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) or Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS); certification is highly preferred, but not required Experience with document control systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to lead, coach, and develop staff Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to retain confidential information Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization to influence participation in development, quality, and safety related programs/activities Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results Ability to implement suggestions and recommendations Proficiency in managing HistoTrac and/or other laboratory information systems Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing is highly preferred, but not required Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
