Job Purpose:

Performs critical loan portfolio monitoring functions to ensure potential deterioration of credit quality or financial performance within designated region is identified as early as possible to best protect bank. Performs financial statement tracking, collection, red flag review, issue escalation and memorialization. Tracks covenant requirements, initiates testing requests and manages internal and external/borrower follow up steps (waivers, reservation of rights, etc.) Provides assistance with various reporting, including the criticized asset report preparation and Watch 4 updates.

Job Duties:

• Performs financial statement tracking, collection, red flag review, issue escalation and memorialization generally for less complex credit relationships.
• Tracks covenant requirements, initiates testing requests and manages internal and external/borrower follow up steps (waivers, reservation of rights, etc.) generally for less complex credit relationships.
• Tracks, collects, tests and manages borrowing base requirements, clearance requirements and ongoing loan conditions generally for less complex credit relationships.
• Complies with established processes, quality standards and responsiveness expectations.
• Oversees and ensures resolution of property tax delinquencies; escalates as warranted.
• Assists with maturing/matured loan tracking, delinquency tracking and related administrative follow up.
• Assists with annual shelf review process and renewal requirements.
• Validates existing loan coding and corrects when necessary.
• Assists with criticized asset report preparation and Watch 4 updates.
• Adheres to bank's policies and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements.
• Ensures credit file in Image Centre is current for relationships.
• Assists with examiner, audit and loan review requests.
• Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience with a specialization in accounting, finance or business operations. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in commercial portfolio monitoring or a commercial lending related position preferred.
• Ability to review and interpret financial statements and tax returns.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
• Highly organized and attentive to detail.
• Proven ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate viewpoint and make independent decisions.
• Proficient with the Microsoft suite of products and commercial loan origination system software platforms. nCino experience a plus.
• Some occasional travel may be required; must have a valid driver's license for travel throughout Peoples Bank footprint of offices.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience with a specialization in accounting, finance or business operations. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a commercial portfolio monitoring or a commercial lending related position preferred.
• Some occasional travel may be required; must have a valid driver's license for travel throughout Peoples Bank footprint of offices.
