The Building Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and operating at peak performance. From performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance to troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems, this role ensures our workspaces remain reliable and efficient for all teams.

Working both independently and alongside other technicians, you'll respond to maintenance requests, address facility needs in a timely manner, and support ongoing improvements across the building. Your ability to diagnose issues, make repairs, and prioritize safety helps minimize downtime and maintain a clean, professional environment.

Position Summary

Performs preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks to building and equipment; utilizing a variety of materials and equipment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as presses, conveyors, pumps, compressors, welders, saws, backhoes, skid steers, and forklifts.
  • Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
  • Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment.
  • Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
  • Other including facility maintenance ex: grounds keeping, carpentry, masonry, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED preferred or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • Ability to receive direct supervision.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools and ability to use common tools such as hammers, wrenches, etc.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts,
  • Eye for detail.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Performs technical responsibilities.
  • Contributes to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques and procedures.
  • Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures.

  • Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations.

Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability

  • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
  • Work in all types of weather.
  • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
  • Ability to lift, move and/or carry 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Prompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment (not a telecommuting position), currently located in the Stapleton area of Denver, including a reliable means of transport to and from work. Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Denver Metro Area, during work hours.
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
