In this position, you will lead both the short-term and long-term strategic brand and marketing responsibility for the Chronic Care Division. You will work closely with the leadership team and across the organization, as you lead the Annual Business Plan process, access and analyse relevant data, leverage consumer insights, conceptualize the marketing and brand strategy, develop programs / campaigns, execute marketing plans, measure outcomes against key metrics and recalibrate accordingly. In addition, manage specific projects in support of marketing / brand management as required. You will ultimately be responsible for conceptualising and executing a strategic marketing plan that attracts and retains customers for the Chronic Care business.

In addition to the qualifications listed below, we are looking for a person with a strong drive, who is ambitious, takes ownership with a strong sense of accountability and is a visionary with demonstrated leadership skills. Success in this role will be dependent on the ability to drive business outcomes - the ability to access and decode relevant data, work in a structured and solutions-oriented way with strong analytical and brand management skills, especially the ability to translate consumer insights into impactful, creative and compelling campaigns / programs. We are seeking a candidate who takes ownership, is pro-active, focused on quality results and can quickly navigate across broad stakeholder platforms.

Major Areas of Accountability



  • Drive the development of business and marketing strategies by capturing and mining market insight, and translating it into actionable, differentiated programs or business cases
  • Identify opportunities and risks and define the marketing / brand initiatives to address the same
  • Allocate resources, monitor and manage marketing budgets
  • Lead the Ostomy Care and Continence Care Marketing Managers team to deliver on key business objectives, while driving high level of engagement, urgency, and accountability.
  • Initiate, access and analyse relevant data to derive actionable market and user insights, which would include primary and secondary research as required
  • Conduct regular product portfolio analysis and make recommendations on strategic and tactical plans to align with shifts/trends in the market
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the market by monitoring the competitive market, pricing, and reimbursement information, identifying trends or changes that will impact business, and recommending actions and contingency plans to maximize opportunities for Coloplast
  • Manage the development and execution of new product launches to help promote new business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability
  • Set the marketing objectives aligned with organizational goals, create and implement marketing programs / campaigns and market development initiatives targeted at key customers to grow the Canadian business
  • Measure and reporting on marketing campaigns / initiatives
  • Proactively manage downstream product needs in support of Canadian marketing strategies and provide market assessments and sales expectations for upstream products to Global Marketing to prepare for future product launches
  • Influencing global partners to draw resources critical to business growth.
  • Develop product promotional materials to support product launches, campaigns, product education, and product commercialization materials, including packaging and labeling
  • Champion product commercialization activities across many businesses functional areas, including Executive Management, Global Marketing, Field Sales, National Accounts, Supply Chain, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Research & Development
  • Develop pricing strategy through analysis of internal and external variables impacting brand profitability Manage portfolio and SKU rationalization
  • Develop and support sales training and materials, clearly communicating objectives and recommended priorities to achieve sales growth
  • Manage distribution channel marketing initiatives, including product catalogs, press releases, and advertising schedules, as well as coordinates and implements industry tradeshows on an annual basis
  • Ensure all programs are aligned with Coloplast's vision, business objectives, and corporate brand


  • Partners with the Consumer Marketing team to ensure a streamlined downstream marketing strategy


  • Manage SKU availability and forecasting



Basic Qualifications



  • BS/BA in Business or Marketing, MBA preferred
  • 4+ years of marketing experience directly related to the core functions of the role
  • Previous experience managing both people and complex marketing projects


  • Hybrid position with a minimum of two (2) days in the Oakville, ON office location


  • A willingness and ability to travel approximately 25-30% travel of the time (1-2 times International per year, 2 times per month national travel)
  • Bilingual (English and French) strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $121,000 - $146,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
