The Impact You Will Have

The President of Coupe Health is a visionary leader responsible for steering the strategic direction and overall success of Coupe Health. This role demands a dynamic individual who can infuse innovation into every aspect of the organization, ensuring that Coupe Health, BCBSMN's Alternative Health Plan (AHP), not only supports growth and retention but also operates with exceptional efficiency. This leader will transform strategic goals into actionable business plans, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team to achieve these objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing new sales, account management, marketing, information technology, and operational support, all aimed at exceeding client and member expectations. The President will drive the development and management of Coupe Health's products and services, ensuring they stand out in the marketplace.

The President of Coupe Health is a pivotal executive role, ideal for a seasoned senior executive with extensive experience in leadership, P&L management, strategy, and execution. This proven leader will be responsible for steering the strategic direction and overall success of Coupe Health, ensuring growth, retention, and exceptional operational efficiency. The president will be responsible for financial stability and sustainability of Coupe Health by managing budgets, expenses, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.



Your Responsibilities


  • Strategic Vision and Mission: Develop and implement a forward-thinking strategic vision and mission for Coupe Health, aligning with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN, Board of Directors, market needs, and enterprise goals to deliver high-quality service to members and providers.



  • Exceptional Leadership and Collaborative Culture Building: Create a climate where people demonstrate curiosity, candor, courage and collaboration to drive performance. Lead with a strategic mindset, fostering an inclusive and accountable learning culture. Inspire and motivate employees at all levels, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and appreciation for diverse perspectives. Role model our enterprise leadership commitments of accelerating change, inviting authenticity and growing resiliently. Implement strategies that enhance team cohesion, drive engagement, and remove barriers to achieving our enterprise goals. Demonstrate ethical behavior and decision-making, aligned with our mission and values.



  • Innovation and Expansion: Identify and pursue new opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and expansion in response to the evolving health care landscape and the needs of BCBSMN, clients, and members.



  • Change-Agent Representation: Represent Coupe Health as an alternative to traditional health plan offerings, challenging the status quo, and outpacing Alternative Health Plan (AHP) competitors both within MN and globally.



  • External Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external partners to promote Coupe Health's product, brand, and mission.



  • Internal Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with key internal partners to identify cross-functional efficiencies and leverage existing processes defined by the parent company.



  • Financial Stability: Ensure the financial stability and sustainability of Coupe Health by managing budgets and expenses and ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.



  • External Advocacy: Represent the organization in external forums, such as conferences, media, and policy discussions, to advocate for the organization's initiatives and interests.



  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide leadership and support on cross-functional projects by offering strategic insights on industry, regulatory, and customer requirements.



  • Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to drive the company's strategic direction, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence to achieve long-term business goals. Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent, ensuring effective management practices and a high-performing executive team.





Required Skills and Experience


  • High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.



  • 10+ years' experience as a senior executive leader, ideally within a health plan



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field



  • Advanced knowledge of the healthcare environment, including leading-edge products, sales operations strategies, competitive drivers, and alternative health plans.



  • A proven track record of driving profitable growth and innovation.





Preferred Skills and Experience


  • Master's degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.



  • Experience in Alternative Health Plans: Proven track record of leading and expanding complex and innovative health care organizations, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and financial performance.



  • Extensive knowledge of the health care industry, including current trends, challenges, opportunities, and regulations impacting alternative health insurance and care management.




Accepting this position at BCBSMN requires signing an Employee Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Assignment, and Restrictive Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment.



Role Designation
Hybrid

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.



Compensation and Benefits
$337,000.00 - $393,500.00 - $450,000.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
