This leadership role encompasses patient care management, strategic resource utilization, fiscal oversight, and strict adherence to regulatory standards. While primarily focused on management duties, the Director will also participate in direct patient care when necessary. The role requires strong collaboration with other department leaders to optimize staffing, resource sharing, and cross-training efforts across the system. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage pharmacy operations across both campuses to ensure safe, effective, and timely medication use. Oversee staff scheduling, development, and cross-training to ensure optimal resource utilization. Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations (e.g., Board of Pharmacy, DEA, DNV). Monitor and manage departmental budgets, including cost control, procurement, and revenue optimization. Participate in direct patient care activities as needed, providing clinical expertise and support to pharmacy staff. Collaborate with other clinical and administrative leaders to support system-wide initiatives and ensure seamless patient care delivery. Take ownership of specialized projects and initiatives, providing leadership in areas of clinical and operational expertise. Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and professional development within the pharmacy team. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent Current pharmacist license in good standing. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital or health system pharmacy setting. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy services, formulary management, and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage change, and implement strategic goals effectively.
