This leadership role ensures the highest standards of patient care, resource allocation, fiscal responsibility, and regulatory compliance across both locations. The Director will participate in direct patient care when necessary, with the majority of time focused on operational and managerial responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily laboratory operations across both campuses, ensuring quality patient care and efficient workflow. Manage department resources effectively, including staffing, budgeting, equipment, and supplies. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, DNV). Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental goals and performance improvement initiatives. Participate in direct care activities when required to support staff and maintain continuity of operations. Collaborate with other department directors to optimize resource sharing and cross-training initiatives. Lead and support interdisciplinary projects and serve as a subject matter expert in specific areas of laboratory medicine. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning among laboratory staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field (Master's preferred). Current licensure or certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent, as required by the state or accrediting bodies. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical laboratory operations. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance practices. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex operations, and implement strategic initiatives.
