Overview

The Vice President, Product Success is a strategic new product launch leader and a member of the Enterprise Product Management team at Cotiviti. This person will play a key role in measuring and driving commercial success of our new product offerings, including understanding and removing barriers to sales and implementation success. In addition, they will be responsible for program and project managing product launch, design and large new product enhancements (from design approval to market general availability) and the championing of product best practices to enable profitable growth across the product portfolio. Reporting to the SVP of Enterprise Product, the Vice President will work in partnership with BU Leadership, Product Management, R&D, Corporate Systems, Sales, Marketing and other stakeholders across Cotiviti involved in the launch and commercial success of new products and major product enhancements.



Responsibilities

Commercial Success

    Engage with new product launches to ensure clear measures of commercial success are defined and tracking is included in product scope
  • Measure and report commercial success of recent new product launches with comparison to assumptions in ROI models
  • Analyze issues and barriers to commercial success and drive implementation of mitigations
  • Form alliances with Sales and CE Executives and ensure incentives are aligned for new product launches to achieve assumptions in their ROI models

Program/Project Management:

  • Manage and influence cross-functional project teams (including strategy, insights, design, and R&D) and partners to deliver top quality output through Cotiviti's commercialization process
  • Proactively assess problems, drive team problem-solving and ensure proper escalation to the right senior leaders
  • Communicate product status, risks and mitigation steps to project teams and senior leaders. Report out to Product Steering Committee for investment approval decision.
  • Drive adoption of industry standard project management methodologies across design/launch teams
  • Develop artifacts, tools, playbooks and templates to structure design and launch processes that can be leveraged across a vast array of projects, and across the full process from ideation through execution
  • Continuously seek process improvement of the product design and commercialization process, through soliciting best practices from within and outside Cotiviti
  • Proactively identify and procure new tools to track, manage and report on project scope and to improve the effectiveness of the team
  • Catalogue project outputs, including case studies and business value proof points that are generated by project staff or third-party vendors.
  • In partnership with Finance, track and report on financial impact of each project

Product Design/Launch Discipline:

  • GTM Readiness: Lead development, communication and execution of comprehensive product commercialization strategy including go-to-market and post-launch plans.
  • Operational Readiness: Work across business units to ensure that all operational goals and critical milestones are met, while documenting and communicating issues and mitigation plans to all levels including leadership and recommending solutions.

Product Discipline

  • Identify, design and implement process improvement to the Product Development and Management processes for Cotiviti, in line with industry's best practices and standards (e.g., Pragmatic Marketing)
  • Champion best practice execution through communicating best practices, developing templates and standards for consistent delivery of products.

Team leadership

  • Manage a team of project managers and mentor/coach them in Cotiviti project management disciplines
  • Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, healthcare management or equivalent professional experience required
  • 10+ years of related experience program management or product management experience
  • 7+ years of experience preferred in the healthcare industry with previous program management or product leadership experience in appropriate domain, strong personnel management
  • 5+ years of experience in Consulting or other role with proven success measuring and driving KPI or commercial success of launched programs
  • Exceptional presentation skills with ability to synthesize data and concepts to tell a story

Desired Qualities

  • PMP certification
  • Experience managing both Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies
  • Sales or Campaign Management experience
  • Experience and training in standard product frameworks (e.g., Pragmatic Marketing)
  • Ability to quickly assess and scope projects that challenge teams to stretch in time-boxed situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences at different organizational levels and learning styles
  • Strong coaching, facilitation and consulting skills
  • A self-starter who can identify problems and propose solutions quickly and independently
  • Proven experience in operational and change management

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Base compensation ranges from $135,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
