Overview
The IT Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities across the IT organization. This role partners closely with IT leadership, Finance, and cross-functional teams to ensure financial discipline, transparency, and alignment with strategic priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, operational insight, and a collaborative mindset to drive value and efficiency in IT investments.
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes. In collaboration with senior leadership, develop targets that are aligned with financial plans and achievable based on market conditions and historical performance. Partner with leadership to create detailed technology spending forecasts and collaborate to create business case analyses.
- Performance Management: Assess sales, operational, and financial metrics to identify trends and provide data-driven insights. Collaborate with leadership on forecasting models and track performance versus plan, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Decision Support / Business Partnering: Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, delivering financial guidance for key initiatives. Foster alignment among IT, Executive Leadership, and Finance teams on priorities and performance expectations.
- Enterprise Business Case Generation: Lead cross-functional development of business cases for enterprise initiatives. Evaluate proposals using financial modeling and ROI analysis; oversee post-implementation review to ensure expected outcomes are achieved.
- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and present periodic financial and strategic performance reports to executive stakeholders, synthesizing insights to inform strategic choices.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Conduct targeted analyses in response to specific needs from senior leaders, finance partners, or IT teams-ranging from deep dives into cost structures to strategic opportunity assessments.
Qualifications
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in finance roles, ideally within a field-based sales environment.
- Experience in FP&A, financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge in financial modeling and analytics tools, such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence platforms.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning software (e.g., NetSuite or similar).
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making in a matrixed organization.

Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
$100,500 - $150,675
