W2 only no sponsorship Description RB Global is seeking to hire a Sr. Java Developer to support their AS400 system which supports the consignment process for their large auctions. Two of RB's biggest brands are IAA (Auto Salvage) and Ritchie Brothers (Industrial Equipment) which host auctions to sell cars and big equipment like cranes, excavaotrs and tractors, etc.. This particular developer will help the business arrangement (consignment) in which one party (the consignor) provides goods to another party (the consignee) to sell on their behalf, typically for a fee or commission. The consignee doesn't buy the goods upfront but instead takes them on consignment, meaning the goods remain the property of the consignor until sold. The reason this role exists is because they are moving workloads off the AS400 onto a new platform, however, there are several workloads requiring support over the next 12-18 months until they are moved to the new platform. They are not doing any HW upgrades but when requests come in for settlements, the team lacks the in-house resource to support these requests. As a result, we need a Sr. Java Developer with a strong Java development skills working with java servlets, basic frameworks like hibernate, HTML and JavaScript and can work with application servers.
