Job Title: Aerospace Quality Inspector

Pay Rate: $19/hr. - $23/hr. on w2 with full benefits

Location: Oro Valley, AZ

Duration: Direct Hire

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift

Note:

  • Must have a copy of HSD or Transcript
  • Must have Aerospace Quality Experience
  • Must be able to Pass FAA Drug Test



Job Designation:

  • The Quality Inspector 2 inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance instructions.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
  • Participates in gathering statistical data from product and processes
  • Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro- mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
  • Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards, and harness assemblies.
  • Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
  • Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues
  • Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling
  • Read technical drawings with multiple views.
  • Locate and utilize correct part, assembly, and material specifications or drawings.
  • Use tolerances and dimensions to required accuracy and precision.
  • Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulation.
  • Filing of both hard copy and electronic records.



Physical Requirements:

  • Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking indoors.
  • Perform continuous uninterrupted visual inspections, with and without magnifying devices.
  • Use hand tools, measuring devices, and magnifying devices (e.g. gauges, calipers, rulers.)
  • Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
  • Perform repeated lifting from floor, table and shelf.
  • Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.
  • Minimal heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling
  • Minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces
  • Must be able to lift minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Must have a visual acuity of 20/25 in at least one eye, either correct or uncorrected.


Required Education:

  • A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.


Required Experience:

  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience (Aerospace and Electronics environments preferred).


Required Skills:

  • Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision
  • Able to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues
  • Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment
  • Must have intricate knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, M.O.'s, wiring diagrams and be able to add tolerances using decimals, etc.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Read written/printed specifications and drawings I have read and understand the job requirements, responsibilities and expectations set forth in the job


Certifications:

  • Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related fiel.
