Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager directs and manages the activities of the Plant Facilities and Maintenance departments. They are responsible to plan and manage all activities of the Maintenance roadmap and processes for this facility, establish priorities, and coordinate activities to ensure optimal performance of the facility and related tools.

Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate with the Technical Services Manager for CAPEX projects for the growth and expansion of facilities capabilities.





  • Manage the needed inventory of machine tool and facility spare parts including consignment and crib programs





  • Implement service contracts and OEM strategies to promote little to no un-planned machine or process downtime





  • Manage subordinate Team Leaders and planners; is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees.





  • Responsible to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.





  • Ensure that the buildings and stock machinery are well kept.





  • Responsible establishing the capital budget for replacement equipment and overall budget for maintenance of machine tools, including the outside buildings and grounds.





  • Ensure the factory has the correct tools and documentation to meet the expected 5 year roadmap.





  • Responsible for all rental- and leasing activities concerning production and buildings.





  • Responsible for maintenance, performance and service agreements with external suppliers.





  • Responsible for meeting the Federal, state and local regulations and legislations, internal and external, within the field of responsibility.





  • Responsible for the facilities safety systems including fire suppression and alarms and coordination of the ERT teams.






  • Responsible for the EAM upkeep and upgrades, including measurement and reporting and the maintenance work order system





  • Coordinate the TPM program, including safety stock, forecasting, OEE, and training





  • Conduct long term planning and strategies WRT the machine tools and facility equipment





  • All other duties as assigned



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or similar education, electrical or mechanical disciplines.





  • Minimum 5 years of management experience Ability to demonstrate management directly and through others.





  • Minimum 5 years of relevant practical experience in manufacturing environments working with TPM and predictive maintenance programs and demonstrated ability to manage finical KPI's or utilize OEE mythology.





  • Proficient problem solver.





  • Skilled in communication and negotiation.





  • Ability to demonstrate project management skill including the budgeting of capital projects. Able to facilitate change management.





  • Define and create strategies toward equipment reliability, service contracts and equipment performance.





  • Able to effectively coach subordinates on reaching performance goals.





  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English.





  • Possessing the ability to function effectively without direct oversight in a busy workplace.





  • Read and interrupt schematics, 3-D CAD drawings and contract





  • Proficient at all MS office including advanced skills with Excel, demonstrated ability with MS Project manager.
