The Learning Commons providesfreecentralized academic support for all University of Cincinnati students. We bring together faculty, best practices in teaching and learning, and hundreds of outstanding peer educators to create flexible academic success programming. Each year more than 15,000 students take advantage of Learning Commons programs to build confidence, integrate on campus, and master challenging course content. Job Overview
The Learning Communities program supports student's positive transition to college through a variety of peer-led first-year experience courses. As the Academic Services Administrator for the Learning Community Program, this position will provide joint oversight and leadership of the Learning Community Peer Leader and Facilitator Program. The ASA supervises the First-Year Experience Coordinators, upper-class students who supervise Peer Leaders and Peer Facilitators and provide leadership to the program. The ASA works closely with Coordinators to help direct their work mentoring and teaching Peer Leaders, Peer Facilitators, and first-year students enrolled in Learning Communities. The Academic Services Administrator will also have the opportunity to supervise a Learning Communities Graduate Assistant and serve on the FYE Leadership Team. This position will include oversight of the FYE Recognition and Socials team, lead the Early Term Feedback and Observation process, and participate in other Learning Commons initiatives. This is a hybrid work environment. Essential Functions
