Job Description:
The Environmental Monitoring department performs the functions associated with sampling, initiating tests, collecting and evaluating test results related to defined quality parameters for surface, air, personnel, product and utility systems such as compressed gases and WFI. The Specialist oversees EM functions and personnel, schedules projects, tasks and personnel, assists in training EM technicians and gown training of all aseptic personnel.
- Attain and maintain Aseptic Gown Certification.
- Collect and test samples and data within an aseptic environment and systems over extended periods of time (8-10 hours/day, with appropriate breaks).
- Operate appropriate monitoring sampling and testing equipment.
- Prepare and autoclave supplies required for collecting and testing samples.
- Enter and verify data and electronic spreadsheets for accuracy.
- Write clear, concise observational memos.
- Read, understand and review SOPs as required.
- Read results of testing and review and trend environmental data.
- Schedule EM personnel/tasks in conjunction with the EM Supervisor
- Proficient with EM computer systems like MODA, Facility Pro, Pharmnet and Trackwise.
- Train or schedule training for EM personnel and gown certification for aseptic entry.
- Issue and work on Trackwise deviation, TPIRs and EMIRs as requested.
- Write and review SOPs and protocols as needed.
- Provide back up for EM Supervisor on EM issues as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science Required.
- 2 years Environmental Monitoring or Pharma manufacturing experience required with HS/GED.
- 1-year pharma or lab experience with a Bachelor of Science degree.
- Lead experience required
- Environmental Monitoring experience desired.
- Working Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Navigation of computers & systems required.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds unassisted required
- Pushing, Pulling, Twisting and prolonged sitting/ standing required.
- Must be able to perform aseptic gowning to meet specified criteria; work in an aseptic environment for long periods of time using (8-10 hours) which includes wearing a sterile garment; tolerate periods of bending and climbing stairs, noise, and wet working surfaces required.
Shift: Monday- Wednesday E/O Thursday 6pm-6am.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.
- Hiring Wage: $30.93-$41.85 hr. depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises. Midpoint and above is reserved for employees who have longevity with Jubilant HollisterStier and consistently exhibit outstanding performance over a period of time in the role
