Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM (9-11 hour shifts, overtime as needed)

Murrey's Disposal, a trusted name in environmental services and a proud member of the Waste Connections family, is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to join our Transfer Station team in Fife, WA. This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you'll operate heavy equipment to support essential waste management operations that serve the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including:
    • Grizzly excavator
    • Skid steer
    • Yard goat (for hosteling trailers)
    • Forklift
  • Load and unload materials efficiently and safely
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance
  • Direct traffic flow within the transfer station to ensure safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
  • Monitor site conditions and report any safety concerns
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
  • Accurately document equipment usage, incidents, and site conditions
  • Provide courteous and professional service to truck drivers and visitors
Qualifications
  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to speak and understand English for safety purposes; Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, and odors typical of a transfer station
